The boys cross country team traveled to Portage to compete in the Portage invitational this past Saturday.  This invitational is one of the premier meets, drawing in most of the top teams in the state to see where they stand as they prepare for the championship meets ahead.  The DUX had a solid team showing as they finished 18th out of the 50 team field. Bryce Arredondo (16:36) led the way for the team, finishing with a course personal best and earning medalist honors.  Matt Converse (16:44) was close behind as he also set a course personal best and earned medalist honors by finishing in the top 50 runners in the division 2 race.  Eric TerHaar (17:57) held firm in 3rd for the team.  River Foco (18:02) and Austin Soeters (18:12) rounded out the top 5 with career personal best times.  Ethan Wolters (18:47) finished in 6th with a season best time and Ethan Senti (19:02) finished in 7th with a career personal best time.

The JV team took advantage of the cool temperatures and the competitive nature of the meet as many members of the team set career best times.  Ben Lewis (18:41) was the first DUX across the line as he earned medalist honors.  He was followed by a slew of teammates who ran the fastest 5k times of their careers: Jordan Brower (18:58), Dylan Muntter (19:23), Austin Novakowski (19:34), Jared Hart (21:27) and Clark Vreeman (20:01) Way to go DUX!!
