The 8th grade team took on a tough WO Harbor Lights team and came out with a hard fought victory. The Dux really played well as a team, as ten different players found the scoring column. Leading scorers for the Dux were Terick DeJonge, Brenden Williams, Nathaniel McFall, and Walt Bouvier. Carter DeJonge came off the bench and really gave the team a spark by playing tough defense and taking advantage of his scoring opportunities. Luke Henry continued to add to his blocked shot total. Next game is home on Wednesday, Dec. 7 against Holland.
The 7th grade boy’s basketball team got down early and fell behind by 20 in their game vs. Harbor Lights. The boys fought back and came close to tying the game in the 4th quarter. Despite their great effort, they came up 3 points short. Leading the way for the Dux was Bergen Loeprich with 23 points and Kylan Arnold with 14. Drew Weenum and Brendan Gabrion led the team on defense as Mitchel Middleton and Bergen Loeprich led the team in rebounding.
