The boys JV basketball team braved the slippery roads to Muskegon and came home with a 60-54 victory over the Reeths Puffer Rockets.  Facing very athletic and big team, the Dux again played solid defense by taking charges and limiting the Rockets to only one shot attempt per possession all night long.  “Once again our defense and work on the boards proved to be the difference” said coach Bouvier.  “When you play a team that is bigger and potentially more athletic, you can’t get beat on the offensive glass, and the guys simply did not allow Puffer to rebound the ball.  Then, when you can come down to the other end and hit shots it is pretty fun to watch.”  The Dux were led on offense by Nate Beyer who finished with 17 points behind 5 three pointers.  Noah Rowder chipped in with 11.  Tanner Thompson, Jack Snyder and Trevor Kilinski all came off the bench and provided a huge spark defensively.
