Game Recap

The Lady Dux offense scored in five of the seven innings in the first game of the conference double header against Hamilton to win 11-6.

Hamilton fought hard and pulled to within one in the bottom of fifth, but the Dux responded scoring three in the top of the sixth and didn’t look back.

The entire Dux lineup contributed at key moments in the win. They were lead by Abby Wallar and Kenzie Siersma who each collected 3 hits. Morgan Rush, Katie Bruursema, and Kinsey Arendsen each had 2 hits, and Sarah VanValkenburg added a hit to give the Dux 13 hits. Others played key roles in sac bunts and RBI ground balls.

Sam Nyenbrink picked up the win for the Dux. She is 3-0 after being asked to step in help out Kenzie Siersma who is doing a great job carrying most of the load on the mound since Maddie Sliva is out with an injury. Nyenbink pitched 4.2 innings giving up 6 runs on 9 hits and 6 walks. Siersma came in to close the game out pitching 2.1 innings.

Dux improved to 4-5 in Conference play.
