This past Saturday the Dux boys cross country team headed to East Lansing for the MSU Spartan Invitational. The boys competed against most of the top division 2 and 3 teams in the state in the Bronze division race. A strong team performance landed the guys a solid 3rd place finish in the 39 team race. The top 5 averaged a school record time of 17:13. Ryan Lowing lead the way with a time of 16:35 and a very solid 6th place finish. Sam Plaska finished 22nd in a time of 17:06. Both Lowing and Plaska earned medalist honors for their top 30 finishes out of 270 runners. The next 4 runners for the Dux (Jake Houser, Jarek Brower, Bryce Arredondo, and Aaron Strieff) all ran a solid pack race finishing between 17:26 and 17:31 as a group. Ben Smart rounded out the group in a time of 19:14.
