The girls JV soccer team went on the road to Hamilton last night and found out just how cruel the game can be. “Soccer is unlike a lot of sports in that you can dominate an entire match and still not win.” From the opening kick until literally the final horn the Dux controlled every aspect of the game but were just not able to find the back of the net. “Even at the highest level sometimes the best team can control everything but still lose. At the end of the day we got better individually, as a team and therefore as a program last night.” As fate would have it, even the lone goal the Hawkeyes were able to get came as a result of West doing things the right way, but a result that didn’t work out. “You still have to credit Hamilton because even though we might have had a miscue, they still had to put the ball in the goal. They did and we did not.” The Dux will take a much needed break until Monday when the Dutch of Holland come to visit.
