The boys and girls of the Creekside Cross Country team ran a hot and sultry meet on Wednesday in Grand Haven. With temperatures soaring into the 80’s the perspiration was flowing but the determination was unyielding. Hats off to Bella Hoffer, Isabella Cifuentes, and Greta Hondorp who placed in the top 10 for 6th grade girls.
The boys also persevered through adversity. Nate Golding lost a shoe at the start yet stayed with the pack for a quarter mile before lacing back up and regaining lots of lost ground. Micah Henry was first for the boys with a final push that allowed him to pass many competitors and end up in top 10 for 6th grade boys.
